Jungkook fainted during a concert in Chile in 2017. He had been feeling ill that day, and there were no underlying difficulties, it was later determined. On the Love Yourself World Tour in 2018, he experienced a heel injury that prevented him from engaging in choreography; as a result, he sang while seated for a portion of the European leg of the tour.

Jeon Jung-kook was born in Busan, South Korea, on September 1, 1997. His parents and an older brother make up his family. He went to Busan’s Baekyang Elementary and Middle Schools. He transferred to Singu Middle School in Seoul as a trainee. Jung Kook wanted to be a badminton player when he was younger, but after witnessing G-Dragon perform “Heartbreaker” on television, he changed his mind and decided to become a singer.
Jung Kook tried out for the South Korean talent program Superstar K at its tryouts in Daegu in 2011. Despite not being chosen, he received casting offers from seven other entertainment businesses.
